DiDi ride share service announce launch in Brisbane with exclusive Oaks Hotels Resorts Suites partnership

Following the successful launch of leading mobile transportation platform DiDi in Brisbane in July, the company today announced a partnership with Oaks Hotels, Resorts & Suites, which was officially marked by a Memorandum of Understanding signing at Brisbane City Hall.

The offer will see guests of all Oaks Hotels, Resorts & Suites receive two $10 DiDi vouchers to use on the rideshare service. DiDi users can also enjoy a 20% discount on one-night stays at any Oaks property, or 25% off the best flexible rate when staying for two nights.

The ceremony included speeches from Minor Hotels Chief Operating Office Craig Hooley, and DiDi ANZ General Manager Lyn Ma. Other guest speakers included Lan Yuqiang, Chief of the Economic and Commercial Office, Consulate General of the People’s Republic of China, Chinese Consulate General Brisbane.

“With the launch of DiDi in Brisbane it was only fitting that Minor Hotels’ strongest Australian brand, Oaks Hotels, Resorts & Suites, partnered with the popular ride-hailing platform;” said Minor Hotels Chief Operating Officer, Craig Hooley, at the ceremony today.

Mr Hooley continued, “The partnership between Oaks and DiDi was a natural fit due to a parallel in brand values and goals. In addition to placing an emphasis on convenience, trustworthiness and quality, both companies are also in a significant period of expansion both here and internationally.”

Of the launch in Brisbane, DiDi Australia General Manager Mr. Lyn Ma said: “We are thrilled with the launch of DiDi into Brisbane and the way the city has embraced our rideshare service. As part of this launch, it’s great to partner with iconic brand such as Oaks Hotels, Resorts & Suites as we continue our Australian expansion.

The partnership offer is available to all DiDi and Oaks Hotels Resorts & Suites customers from 13 August, 2019.
