Travel agents from Australia & New Zealand fill their hearts with Ireland
Travel agents from Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, and Auckland have recently returned from a familiarisation trip to Ireland. The travel agents all won the opportunity to travel to Ireland during a recent Tourism Ireland sales mission to Australia and New Zealand.
Following an itinerary devised by Tourism Ireland, the group spent time in Dublin and Belfast, where they visited popular attractions including Titanic Belfast, EPIC The Irish Emigration Museum and Trinity College. They also travelled along the Causeway Coastal Route, stopping off at The Gobbins, and visited the Slieve League Cliffs on the Wild Atlantic Way.
The group experienced many of the hidden gems and regions that feature in Tourism Ireland’s new global campaign, ‘Fill your heart with Ireland’.
“We are delighted to have the opportunity to showcase Ireland to these travel agents from Australia and New Zealand,” said Sofia Hansson, Tourism Ireland Manager Australia & New Zealand. “There is really no substitute for being able to experience what Ireland has to offer first-hand. Our aim is that when these travel agents return home, they will be better informed and really enthusiastic about the destination.”
