Australian Transplant Games inspires Mantra on View Hotel Team

The 16th Australian Transplant Games was held at Mantra on View Hotel, Surfers Paradise last week (30th September -6th October). The hotel played host to the official Games Administration Hub and kicked off the event with a welcome cocktail function for more than 200 attendees.

This biannual sporting event plays a very important role in creating awareness for organ and tissue donation, arguably the most inspirational sporting event in Australia. The number of participants continues to rise each year, originally starting with 150 participants in 1988 and now with over 600 participants at this year’s games.

Julie Edwards (pictured above with Mantra on View Hotel Front Office team member Jess and Justine from the Conference & Events team), is a passionate advocate for organ donation.

The transplant recipients use the Transplant Games to promote proof of the success of transplantation and encourage all Australians to discuss organ and tissue donation with their families.

Mantra on View Hotel is located in the heart of Surfers Paradise just minutes away from the beach. Offering state-of-the-art technology with spacious multi-purpose rooms, it is the perfect hub for conference attendees to experience the best of both worlds of business and leisure while visiting the precinct.
