The offer must be booked by February 28, other conditions may apply.

Among the hotel barges on offer is the luxurious 8-passenger Renaissance, which cruises the Upper Loire Valley, a region renowned for its elegant châteaux and fine wines. With the cruise area located just one hour from Paris, it is ideal for people who wish to combine time in the ‘City of Lights’ with a relaxing voyage along France’s oldest canal.

Also offering 10% off is the 8-passenger L’Art de Vivre, which cruises the Canal du Nivernais in Burgundy. Notable for its ever-present towpath and scenic, wide open spaces, it is perfect for walking, cycling, or simply taking in the view.

The 12-passenger Panache, which cruises the waterways of Holland in the Spring at the height of tulip season. Itinerary highlights include visits to the world-famous Keukenhof Gardens, as well as the Royal Delft pottery and historic cities such as Leiden.

The 20-passenger La Bella Vita, cruising the Venetian Lagoon and the Po Valley in Italy, will appeal to both groups and extended families. They will be able to savour the many charms of the romantic Veneto region, with its multi-cultural heritage and Renaissance architecture, from a unique viewpoint. Cruise in luxury and comfort while enjoying the regional cuisine and delightful wines.

“With the rise of travel by families, as well as multi-generation and small, special interest groups, this is an excellent opportunity to take advantage of some of the best value in hotel barge cruising,” said Derek Banks, managing director of European Waterways. “With their ’floating boutique hotel’ all to themselves, sumptuous gourmet meals that inspire lively conversation, fascinating excursions, and the cruise’s leisurely pace, a hotel barge holiday offers the perfect setting for spending quality time together.”

About European Waterways

The hotel barging experience is different from large vessel river cruising. It offers a slower paced, “gentle voyage of discovery” along the more intimate canals and waterways of Europe, allowing a small number of guests to become more fully immersed in the culture, history and gastronomy of the region. European Waterways is Europe’s largest all-inclusive luxury hotel barging company, offering vacations in nine countries and carrying over 2,000 passengers a year. Founded nearly 40 years ago, they own, operate and market a private fleet of luxury hotel barges with cruises in France, Italy, Scotland, Ireland, England, Germany, Belgium, Holland and Luxembourg.  Pioneers in hotel barging, they were the first company to operate a hotel barge on the Upper Nivernais in Burgundy, and the “real” Loire Valley. They are also the only cruise company offering barge cruises in Scotland and in the Venetian lagoon and River Po valley.
