Brand USA Las Vegas Specialist Training Incentive winner announced
The winner of the Discovery Program trade incentive run by Brand USA Australia in conjunction with Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA) has today been announced as Carine Griffiths from MTA Travel.
Carine was the lucky winner of an AUD$500 Visa Gift Card after completing the Las Vegas Specialist Badge.
“This has been the most successful specialist badge trade incentive we’ve ever done,” said Matt Fletcher, Director of Brand USA Australia and New Zealand.
“As a result of this incentive, we have had an increase of 182% in agents who have completed the Las Vegas Specialist Badge, which we are thrilled with. The badge now has the most completions on the Discovery Program across Australia and New Zealand.”
Commenting on her experience with the Discovery Program, Carine Griffiths said, “I have quite a few clients that do Las Vegas as part of their travels each year, along with a few large groups, and found the Las Vegas Badge a great way to update my knowledge on the latest additions and changes in the city that never sleeps!
“If you want to brush up on your product knowledge of all things USA, it’s a great tool, at your fingertips, that you can do at any time of the day or night. I have done quite a few badges now, focusing on the areas that are most prevalent in my client market, just to stay updated on the latest developments in each region. It’s also great to brush up your knowledge on the areas you might not sell all the time for example National Parks, or there is even a Cirque Du Soleil badge.”
Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority Australia and New Zealand representative, Bart Druitt said, “Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA) sees great value in working with the Australian travel trade, and the Las Vegas badge in partnership with Brand USA and the USA Discovery Program has been an excellent tool to enable us to educate the industry on the diverse and evolving experiences the ‘Entertainment Capital of the World’ offers.
“Las Vegas is constantly evolving and reinventing itself which brings new attractions, hotels and experiences. Our training module has been a great way to keep our frontline agents informed on what’s new, showcase the world class dining and entertainment options and provide general information on the city.
“Through this incentive the number of agents to complete the Las Vegas badge has more than doubled and enthusiasm for the destination remains extremely high which is fantastic, we are very thankful for the continued support,” Bart added.
The USA Discovery Program provides agents with the opportunity to learn about the variety of experiences available to Aussie travellers in the USA. The training course offers a series of 16 badges, categorised by themes as well as destinations. In addition to the Las Vegas badge, these include Regional Expert; Winter Sports; Big City Buzz; Great Outdoors; Coastal Escapes; Music, Culture & Heritage; Fly-Drive; Food & Drink; Family Holidays; Cirque du Soleil; National Parks Specialist; Luxury Specialist; Utah Specialist; Santa Monica Specialist, and Portland Specialist.
