TravelManagers continues its strong emphasis on exclusive famils with eight personal travel managers’ recently experiencing the best The Whitsundays has to offer. The group flew courtesy of Qantas Airways and was hosted by Kate Dancaster from Sunlover Holidays.
Participants included Western Australia based Lesley Cavill representative for Mosman Park and Kelly Savka representative for Balga; Kristina Acevski representative for Merewether Heights and Louise Gillogly representative for Parkes in New South Wales; Victoria based Theresa Kwong representative for Hughesdale and from Queensland were Nannette Gledhill representative for Craiglie, Andrea Turner representative for Windsor and Karen Christie representative for Woody Point.
The personal travel managers all agree that The Whitsundays sheltered by the Great Barrier Reef, provide Australian’s with an exotic and relaxing island beach holiday destination right on their very own back door step.
“The Whitsundays are truly beautiful – the pictures certainly don’t do it justice. The crystal clear waters and pure white sand has to really be seen to be believed! There’s a great range of accommodation from the popular Hamilton Island right through to the luxurious Hayman Island. Foodies too won’t be disappointed – I can highly recommend the Coca Chu on Hamilton Island. The menu is inspired by the hawker-style street food of South East Asia, the duck with chilli coriander ginger was to die for!” says Kwong.
Gledhill says the famil opened her eyes to The Whitsundays as a versatile holiday destination.
“I hadn’t been there before and I was surprised at how much these islands had to offer. Relaxation and great food for a long weekend or an extended holiday with more adventure such as sailing, snorkeling, bush walks and exploring this nature playground. I was impressed with the wide range of accommodation options available also. I will definitely be recommending The Whitsundays as an alternative beach holiday destination to clients as a result of this educational.”
Savka discovers that Hamilton Island provides a great destination for a family holiday.
“There are no shortage of fun and interactive kids experiences at Hamilton Island to keep even the fussiest children entertained! Unlike most kids clubs that cater often for kids over 3 years, the Clownfish Club welcomes children from only 6 weeks old, providing a real selling point for families.”
