TravelManagers get a taste of the Swiss Life
Switzerland Tourism and Swiss International Air Lines hosted nine very lucky TravelManagers in Switzerland recently.
Led by Birgit Weingartner from Switzerland Tourism Australia/New Zealand and Jenni Soedarso from Swiss International Air Lines, the group started the trip in Zurich where they stayed for two nights and enjoyed a city tour and dinner at a traditional guild house.
Then, they journeyed on to Zermatt to ascend Klein Matterhorn, which at 3,883m above sea level is the highest place in Europe reachable by aerial tramway.
The following two nights were spent in Grindelwald, where they experienced the thrill of the First Cliff walk, adrenaline-fuelled First Flyer (a zip line), carts and Trotti biking as well as a visit to Schynige Platte for some sweeping panoramic views of the Jungfrau region.
The trip ended with two nights’ stay in the picturesque and historical city of Lucerne, where the group enjoyed tobogganing on Mount Titlis, a BBQ by Lake Truebsee, a refreshing dip in Lake Lucerne and a leisurely scenic lunch cruise to take in the beauty of the surrounds.
The TravelManagers participants included Amanda Brady of Wellington Point QLD, Darren Kelk from South Yarra VIC, Julie Painter from Mt Colah NSW, Naomi Liss from Vermont South QLD, Julie Smith from Sydney NSW, Lee-Anne Talbot from Lake Munmorah NSW, Clair Crosby from Parkdale VIC, Suzanne Callachor from Belmont VIC and Mark Elevato of Werribee VIC.
