Pacific Dunes Port Stephens has officially unveiled its new $3 million Country Club, which includes a new eatery, bar, 200-seat event venue and golf shop.
Designed to reduce energy consumption, the innovative facility is one of the most environmentally-sustainable buildings in Port Stephens.
Located within Pacific Dunes, overlooking the championship golf course, the Country Club was officially opened this month and is already proving a popular with the local community and for business events, with an influx of event enquiries and bookings and many new club members signing up.
The new eatery, bar and events venue, the Greenhouse, within the new facility, offers seasonal fresh food for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Ingredients for the menu are sourced straight from the adjoining kitchen garden and from locally based farmers and fishermen in Port Stephens. Featuring both indoor and outdoor dining with views overlooking the 18-hole golf course, the Greenhouse provides a relaxed and comfortable fine dining experience.
With a capacity of up to 200 delegates, the event space is the newest, largest and most environmentally-sustainable venue in the area, and it is expected many conferences and events will make use of the facility.
Delegates using the new club will also be able to play on the championship, 18-hole Pacific Dunes Golf Course, designed by Greg Norman’s lead Australasian designer, James Wilcher, and ranked among the best golf courses in Australia, with its scenic backdrop of woodlands and wetlands.
Pacific Dunes Port Stephens also features a 25m swimming pool, tennis courts and walking trails and is only 7km from Newcastle airport and 30km from the heart of Port Stephens in Nelson Bay.
